I received some pretty awesome birthday gifts last week, and I thought I would share them with you! Josh gave the biggest bouquet of flowers ever, and this pretty Blythe doll, named Wanda. She is a Star Dancer who has had her hair dyed and her makeup done, and I am *so* excited about making clothes for her. I have never really thought of myself as a dolly girl, but I love this one!

His mom, Judy, gave me a gift certificate to the fancy yarn shop downtown. I chose this multicolored wool yarn (already made into a cowl, of course!),

some rainbow colored Noro yarn, a ball of red hemp/wool blend and a bamboo crochet hook. I'm not sure what I will use them for yet, but I am thinking the Noro might make pretty wristwarmers!

Jamie sent me one of her super rad yo-yo necklaces

and a matching bangle, as well as a big bag of vintage buttons. Thank you, Jamie!

Henry chose these pearls for me--the boy likes to hand out jewelery!

And, just because, I bought myself a bottle of my favorite conditioner. The budget has not allowed it lately, but it sure is a nice treat once in awhile (even if Josh says I smell like a hippie ;p).

Is this month seriously halfway over already? So many good things are happening right now. So far, I love 2010! I hope it's going well for you, too.
