I am really trying to master the zig zag stitch. In my head I completely understand how it works, yet my hands have another idea! This is my best attempt so far, even though I have added stitches here and there. I think with a bit more practice I will be ready to tackle a zig zag afghan.

How about you? Is there anything you have tried lately that has not been as easy as you hoped it would?

thanks, rosita! i'm pretty good in the middle--it's the ends that are giving me fits!

try another case--working with leather can be a challenge, but also a lot of fun!

I'm proud to say I finally mastered the zig zag after a lot of failed attempts! Yaaay! I'm now working on an afghan.
Last week I tried knitting with four double pointed needles. It's so hard! Needles falling out of my work and cramps in my fingers...uughhh! But after a while I managed to finish a little baby hat!

Whew, that looks way too complicated! I've crocheted for years and years but there are just some stitches I'm way too afraid to try. Kudos!

Looks pretty good right now, just keep on practicing. :)
I've also been trying some crocheting yesterday, I'm only able to do the standard pattern, but the others I've seen on the Internet didn't really work. :D

I think it's looking good! I still haven't attempted the zig-zag stitch; I'm afraid to venture outside of granny squares, haha!

I am currently working on a zig zag quilt and it turned out harder then I expected. I thought I didn't need a pattern and could just wing it but some of the zig zag points are a little off.

But keep trying on your zig zag afgan. I love the way they look and have made a little one myself. I totally understand about your hands not doing what your brain is telling it to. Happens to me all the time.

I attempted to try to teach myself to knit the other day, and failed miserably. lol. I will try again, maybe on a day when I can think clearly and am sans-head-cold.he he. :)
