Henry's room is in serious need of revamping, and I would love to design his space based on the work of Alain Gree.
The colors are so cheery, and the images much more innocent than most of those aimed at little boys these days.
His room has wide plank pine floors, so a nice, large rug is a must. This one is out of the budget, but I have a DIY in mind, which I will definitely share with you when it happens!
I have promised him that once he sleeps through the night without coming to get me he can have a bunk bed. This is perfect--high enough that he has plenty of room to play underneath, but no so high as to give his mama a heart attack. Those blue panels can be flipped around and are white on the other side--much nicer!
The tent that goes with the bed is fun, but that fabric is the pits. I will most likely make a new cover out of something like
this.
Cheery sheets will go well with the quilt already on his bed (made by great grandma!).
Next we need a a place for me to sit
(topped with one of these, of course!)
and a place for Henry.
Sign us up for a bazillion canvas buckets to hold the millions of Playmobils, please.
Just for fun, how about a colored pencil tree
and an Alain Gree pencil sharpener?
I think I love it all--now I am off to make it happen within my tiny budget!
